Understanding the requirements


In first place, Ana learned the software in collaboration with the data scientists team, as she was understanding how the B2B clients were using the platform throughout the internal sales and customer success teams. Then, Ana interviewed the different stakeholders, such as the business founder and the product owner to understand their short and long-term vision and goals, and to learn about what they knew about their B2B users.


Desk research


Once the first part was done and in between of managing design tasks, Ana did an audit together with an heuristic analysis of the existing platform by applying design best practises in collaboration with the Junior UX engineer, as well as a competitors analysis which generated quick-wins to be developed by engineers.

Additionally, Ana used Decibel insights platform to gather data analytics and learn more about their clients while using the actual platform. By doing that, she identify key questions to proceed with the user interviews with B2B clients.


User research


When Ana knew enough about the data analytics platform, she started interviewing face-to-face B2B clients to understand what were their motivations, their frustrations and which paths were they taking while using the data platform.

New journeys


The key findings of the user interviews, desk research and stakeholders' vision resulted in a series of opportunities used to create a flow chart and user journeys to create hypothesis and create an MVP.
